The Quran Majid or Quran Majeed (Arabic: القرآن Al-Qurʾān) is the sacred scripture of the Islamic religion.According to Islamic history, it was revealed in segments over a period of nearly twenty-three years and was conveyed to the Prophet Muhammad in Islam.In accordance with Islamic beliefs, followers consider the Quran to be a comprehensive way of life. The Quran consists of a total of 114 surahs (chapters) and contains 6,236 verses or ayats.
